The hotel had a great location, close to major attractions and lots of good restaurants. We also enjoyed the fact that the staff were eager to give us tips on popular sights and were very helpful. The breakfast provided at the hotel was wonderful, with a good selection of delicious food to start the day.

The hotel had a few drawbacks. there was a lack of noise insulation, so we could hear noise from other rooms and the hallway.

The hotel is built into the walls of the Topkapi, and is in an excellent location, only two minutes away from the main attractions. The hotel gatden is nice to sit in and to relax, and the internet works! The rooms are clean. It is small and has a very individualistic feel to it.

I was a bit cold at nights and more blankets could have been provided. The hotel staff seems to be a bit shy of trying to communicate, but they are friendly if you approach them directly.

hotel is located in the historic part of the city, in a very heart of old center just back side of Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque accommodation in very comportable, the rooms are tiny, clean. Personnel is very gentle and enthusiastic. Manager Taner is a good professional with the best sense of humanity. free airport transfer, pick up from airport was provided in a due manner

we were lucky having a room with a wonderfull view, but not sure other rooms have the same perpsective as well

I loved the location, right by the famous palace walls and within a short walk to all the main sights of the old city. The hotel is situated on an incredibly steep hill with hardly any footpath, but it's worth the climb. The outdoor garden was a lovely place to relax, and I enjoyed borrowing books to read. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with fresh cakes, vegetables, eggs, and freshly squeezed juice. The staff kept the rooms clean and tidy, changing towels daily.

    For us, it was ideal.

    Excellent location

Room smelled of smoke, and was not nicely furnished. No duvet - istanbul is surprisingly chilly at night in April - so couldn't keep the window open to improve the smell as we were freezing. The window by the way opened onto an 'interior courtyard' that was more like a ventilation shaft.

the vicinity to all the historical monuments was awesome. 5-10 minute walk away from blue mosque, hagia sophia, basicilla.Close to lovely street with pubs, bars and restuarants. staff were friendly although english was minimal.

the shower didnt work at all and the hose had to be coiled around itself at an odd angle to get just a trickle of water, definitely not able to wash anything other than short hair. for what we paid for the room I was definitely expecting more. My initial reaction to it wasn't great but it had a certain old school charm to it and as said the smiles of the staff made up for it.

This hotel is situated in a great location, close to all the attractions in the Sultanhment area. You can easily walk to the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly and eager to give tips on where and when to visit popular sights. The rooms are well-maintained and come with a balcony overlooking the Topkapi palace grounds. The breakfast provided at this hotel is delicious and plentiful, with a variety of choices to suit everyone's taste.

All was great, no improvements necessary.

    1. Location - just next to St. Sophia and Blue Mosque. The hotel is literally attached to Topkapi Palace Wall. The street is quiet at night and in the early morning, although in the daytime the narrow street is busy with buses and taxis going from St.Sophia. But you do not stay in your room at noon, are you? In any case, it's much better than to live over a street which at night tiurns into one buzzing restaurant with all the smells and noises. 2. Lots of good cafes and restaurants on nearby streets. 3. Fairly big room, unlike many other hotels ion Istambul in the same price group. 4. Sufficient breakfasts, although rather monotonous.

    1. Room cleaning - or rather lack of it. The hotel maid worked every day, but did nothing except changing of towels. Bed linen was changed only once during 7 days of our stay and that happened just the day before we left. 2. State of room facilities - all electric sockets are not fixed. Bathroom is in a sad state, although nothing leaked. All in all, I would recommend the hotel, if it were not for room cleaning.

    Excellent location and nice exterior.

The room was not clean at all. Blankets were without covers. Bathroom was poorly maintained and dirty. Watter was leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom.

The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from all the main sites of the old city. It is in the center of all the action and close to everything. the staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. the breakfast is delicious and varied, with homemade pastries and fresh orange juice. the hotel also has a lovely outdoor garden where you can relax and enjoy the sun.

The rooms are quite small and could be a bit bigger for the price.

Honestly, I liked all the staff very much including the manager, they are so friendly and you feel that you are at home. Also, the location is excellent, it is near by the four famous historical places in Istanbul, Aya Sofia, The Blue Moseque, Topkapi Palace and The Islamic Museum. If Istanbul has hundreds of hotels, Ishak Pasa would be the warmest.

Need more care about the finishing of the rooms and that is what they are going to do as I told by the manager.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a central location. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the attention to detail. The staff were friendly and provided great service, ensuring that all my basic needs were met. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a small balcony that offered a lovely view. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying.

    No improvements needed.

Love the location - it's literally leaning on to the walls of the Topkapi Palace, and is within a five-ten minute walking distance of the main sights and tram stop. Its somehow very cosy and quiet despite being in the center of all that action. It's a lovely place with a nice outdoor garden, and they have lots of books you can borrow and read. They serve a great breakfast - cakes, olives, vegetables, eggs, cornflakes, freshly squeezed juice, and tea and coffee. It's all fresh and delicious! We loved sitting in the outdoor garden for breakfast and soaking up the sun, while planning for the day. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday, towels we changed everything, and they definitely made sure the rooms were kept clean and tidy.

The rooms are absolutely tiny - barely enough space for two people to move around. Considering it wasn't exactly a cheap place, we felt the rooms could have been at least slightly bigger. The bathoom doors did not have a latch/bolt of any sort, nor did they close fully, leaving you partially exposed to the persons in the room! It can be very, very inconvenient if you're sharing a room with a friend/parent etc. Even with a partner, it can get awkward - there is such a thing as too much sharing. Finally, it would have been nice if the hotel had a restaurant on site. But they are just five minutes away from the closest restaurant so can't really complain. What did make me unhappy was this: we arrived pretty early on the day of our arrival, and and had to wait for check in. We had a 12 hour bus journey, had been lugging around all our luggage and were very tired. We asked the man at the reception if we could be served breakfast (we offered to pay for it) but he absolutely refused, saying we could have the breakfast there only from tomorrow! Considering it's a buffet style breakfast anyway and not cooked to order, I was rather turned off by his uncompromising attitude in this matter.
